In a response to the growing feelings of anxiety and concern in the community, Willoughby City Council has instigated a community outreach initiative, telephoning residents to check on their wellbeing and to offer support.

Council recognizes that the COVID-19 crisis and extended lockdown has resulted in residents experiencing a range of struggles that they may not have experienced before – mental health issues, money concerns or needing help with practical matters. Council has a range of resources and services available to the community. By reaching out through the wellness calls, we're providing information and guidance on how to access this support to those who need it.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive. From over 225 calls made already, residents have welcomed this gesture of kindness and proactive approach.

Only people who have previously provided their details to Council are being contacted.

If you need support, we have a range of informative fact sheets to assist our you to better understand the local services and support options available to you. Or you can reach out to our customer service team on 02 9777 1000 Monday to Friday between 9.00am – 5.00pm.
