Dine and Discover

Willoughby City Council is pleased that the Service NSW Dine & Discover NSW will launch this month and encourages local hospitality, entertainment or other eligible business to register now so customers can use their $25 vouchers with them before the end of June.

The Dine & Discover NSW scheme will provide NSW residents aged 18 and over with four $25 vouchers worth $100 in total to spend in participating businesses to support local dining, arts and tourism and encourage the community to get out and about.

Council recently announced its Economic Recovery Plan to support the business community through the pandemic and beyond. Mayor Gail Giles-Gidney welcomed the Dine & Discover NSW scheme as another way to support the plan by stimulating local businesses.

"Our area has a myriad of unique and vibrant dining and entertainment venues. I strongly encourage the business community to take this opportunity and register now to take be part of the Dine & Discover NSW scheme. It's a great way to encourage visitors and support economic recovery," said Mayor Gail Giles-Gidney.

Local businessman Myles Docker, who manages the Orchard Hotel, jumped at the chance to connect with the many voucher holders looking to dine out this autumn.

"I think this is a great initiative and as soon as I heard about it, I signed up. It's been tough in the hospitality business lately and these vouchers will bring back a lot of customers and help get our food business back on track" said Mr Docker.

Businesses can register now to be part of the scheme on the Service NSW website.
