Council facilities and services reopening with eased restrictions

With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in regional Victoria from 11.59pm, Thursday 9 September, select Council facilities and services will reopen following the 1 person per 4 square metre density limit.

Services and facilities reopening include:

  • Libraries and toy libraries
  • Visitor Information Centres
  • Customer Service Centres
  • Early learning centres, kindergarten, childcare, family day care
  • Outdoor playgrounds, communal gym equipment and skate parks
  • Arts and culture events. Please check upcoming shows and exhibitions for event specific details.
  • Hanging Rock will be open with restrictions on numbers in line with guidance from the Victorian Government
  • Maternal and Child Health services
  • Community Care will move to resume service in line with Victorian and Australian Government advice

At this time, indoor aquatics and leisure facilities will remain closed in line with Victorian Government restrictions.

The following advice remains for the State of Victoria:

  • If you can work from home, continue to do so.
  • Masks must be worn when indoors and outdoors, except in your home.
  • Public group gatherings can happen with a maximum of 10 people.
  • Private gatherings are not permitted, except intimate partner visits / single person bubble buddies
