Council offers local businesses 2x $1,000 to support recovery

Macedon Ranges Shire Council is encouraging local business affected by COVID-19 to apply for vouchers of up to $1,000 for professional services.

"Council's Business Continuity and Resilience Program (BCRP) aims to assist businesses wishing to upskill, explore growth opportunities or build economic resilience for possible future trading interruptions," said Angela Hughes, Director Planning and Environment.

Funded from Council's COVID Recovery Budget, up to two (2) vouchers per of up to $1,000 each, can be applied for by local business who wish to engage professional services based within the Macedon Ranges.

These professional services include accounting, legal advice, marketing, strategy/business planning, grant writing or human resources.

Council is proud to support local businesses working to overcome the economic effects of COVID-19 and the restrictions placed upon their ability to trade during the pandemic.

"While some businesses have returned to 'business as usual' operations, many are still feeling the effects of minimal trade. The inability to capitalise upon regular busy times like Christmas and summer school holidays has also had an impact,' said Ms Hughes.

"Does your business need some help changing direction or reaching new markets? Has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your ability to run your business as you normally would? Apply now for a professional services voucher to assist your business."

To apply for the BCRP go to mrsc.vic.gov.au/bcrp or visit a Council Customer Service desk to obtain a paper application. Applications for BCRP vouchers will close when program funds are exhausted, or by 5pm on Friday 30 April 2021.
