A review of the Community Engagement Framework was noted at an Ordinary Meeting of Central Goldfields Shire Council on Tuesday night (24/03).

The report provided a review of the effectiveness and practical operation of the Engaging Central Goldfields – Community Engagement Framework, which was adopted by Council in May, 2018.

It also provided a detailed list of community consultation processes – including the number of people engaged, as well as social media growth trends and website statistics.

Central Goldfields Shire Chief Administrator Noel Harvey said it was satisfying to see the extent of our community engagement activities over the past two years.

"There's no doubt Council has carried out significant engagement with the community since the adoption of the Framework in 2018 – as well as growing its social media and website presence.

"We're confident that some minor changes to the Framework will see Council's community engagement program continue to develop and strengthen in the year ahead."
