Logan City Council has been made aware that the suspended Logan Mayor and seven Councillors were today charged with integrity offences by the CCC.
Under the Local Government Act, mayors and councillors charged with integrity offences are automatically suspended. This is effective immediately on being charged.
Council's duty of care remains with the community and its staff.
Council respects the ongoing legal process and will continue to cooperate with all CCC related matters.
