Leeton Shire Council

Council is developing a new Active Transport Plan for Leeton Shire and is inviting community input into the Plan.

Mayor Cr Tony Reneker said the Active Transport Plan aims to improve the Shire's bicycle and pedestrian network and encourage greater participation in walking and cycling activities throughout the Shire.

"The Plan will identify the infrastructure and facilities needed to enhance health, lifestyle and social benefits to our community," said Mayor Reneker.

"Its development will also aid Council in applying for grants and funding in the future because Council will have a clear program of projects to implement.

Members of the community are invited to contribute to the Plan by providing their ideas for enhancing walking, running and riding opportunities in the Leeton Shire.

Ideas can be submitted via an online survey available on Council's website at www.leeton.nsw.gov.au
