We're expecting beautiful weather just in time for Easter. We'll have extra Council crews out and about over the long weekend to service our foreshore areas with additional waste collection and toilet cleaning.
As always, the beaches and pools will be popular for locals and visitors. We're asking everyone to have fun but stay safe when in the water, follow the directions of lifeguards and lifesavers and swim between the flags.
We want everyone to stay safe, enjoy the break and plan ahead.
There will be a few changes to our opening hours for some of Council's facilities and services over the Easter long weekend and ANZAC Day. See the list below.

Beaches |
All beaches will be open, subject to sea conditions. Council lifeguards will be at our 17 patrolled beaches. Thirroul and North Wollongong beaches have different hours on the public holidays. The beach patrol season will end on ANZAC DAY and start again in September. Wollongong City Beach will remain patrolled through this period. |
There are no changes to the kerbside bin collection schedule. Put your bins out as normal. |

Botanic Garden |
Open 7am until 5pm every day except Good Friday. Sculpture in the Garden is in full swing with a jam-packed program of events and workshops. |
Customer Service Centre and Call Centre |
Closed from 5pm on Thursday 6 April and reopening at 9am on Tuesday 11 April 2023. Closed on Tuesday 25 April 2023. Emergency calls to (02) 4227 7111 (choose option 1) will go through our after-hours contractor. |
