Thursday 22 September is the National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty the Queen and Friday 23 September is the AFL Grand Final Friday public holiday.
Some Council services will operate as usual over the public holidays, while some services will be closed.
Waste and recycling collections
Rubbish, recycling and green waste bins will be collected as normal.
The Monash Recycling & Waste Centre will be:
- Closed Thursday 22 September
- Open from 7.30am-3pm on Friday 23 September.
Council offices
The Monash Civic Centre (Glen Waverley) and the Oakleigh Service Centre will be closed on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September.
Libraries
All Monash libraries will be closed on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September. After hours chutes will be available at all branches.

Recreation Centres
The Clayton Aquatics and Health Club (CAHC), Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC), and Oakleigh Recreation Centre (ORC) will be open, with some reduced hours:

The Monash Gallery of Art (MGA) will be closed on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September.
