Local Community Groups and eligible residents are encouraged to apply for sponsorship in Round One of Baw Baw Shire Council's 2019-20 Community Sponsorship program, which is now open.
The Community Sponsorship program aims to encourage and assist individuals and community groups that make positive contributions within Baw Baw or are ambassadors for our region.
Funding is available for community events and for residents that are competing in or attending an event in which at which they will be representing Baw Baw Shire.
Eligible community events may receive up to $5,000 in sponsorship funding.
Individual 'Baw Baw Ambassadors' must be a resident of Baw Baw Shire and may receive up to $500.
Group or Team Ambassadors must be based in Baw Baw Shire and may receive up to $1,500.
Round One applications will be accepted until 28 July 2019, with outcomes expected to be announced in late August/early September. Awarded quarterly, subsequent rounds will accept applications as follows:
- Round Two – 30 September 2019 to 27 October 2019
- Round Three – 13 January 2020 to 9 February 2020
- Round Four – 30 March 2020 to 26 April 2020
