New parks will be delivered in Badagarang as part of the Moss Vale Road South Urban Release Area (URA) to enhance liveability and foster a sense of community for local residents.
Part funded by developer contributions, Council is delivering the first of a series of new public parks to support the neighbourhood and ensure recreational green spaces are a feature in the new suburb.
Mayor Patricia White said the parks will be delivered across multiple stages as the subdivision is developed and houses are built.
"We know how important green spaces are for our physical and mental wellbeing and these new parks promise to make this new suburb a lovely place to live," Cr White said.
"Council is planning for growth in Nowra and Bomaderry and these green spaces will ensure Badagarang has quality recreational and landscape settings for the families making this area their home," she said.
"Each park will have unique elements such as picnic shelters, exercise circuits, playground equipment, fenced dog off-leash exercise areas drinking fountains and pedestrian pathways."
The first of the four new parks to be delivered is at 109 Taylors Lane (Runway Street). Features include:
- Open ball kick area and picnic shelter
- Accessible seating and picnic tables
- Concrete pathways
- Fenced dog off-leash area.
Council is taking suggestions from local residents on a name for the park and seeking feedback on the proposed inclusion of a fenced off-leash dog area. Head to Council's website and have your say.

- 104 Taylors Lane
The new suburb of Badagarang is situated between Cambewarra and Bomaderry, approximately 6km north of Nowra CBD.
