Many Noosa residents will have the chance to rate council's services and operations.
The 2019 Community Benchmarking Survey on Community Satisfaction gathers information about resident's opinions of council's services, functions and facilities.
The biennial survey helps Council better understand how well it is performing as well as benchmarking Noosa against other local government areas.
The random, shire-wide phone survey starts on Saturday March 30.
Mayor Tony Wellington said it was important to get a warts and all view on how council operates.
"We are extremely lucky to have a very engaged community here in Noosa Shire.
Compared with other local government areas across the nation, we have comparatively little difficulty getting our residents to participate in consultation and feedback opportunities.
Cr Wellington said the results from this regular survey are generally well-informed and carefully considered.
"We certainly value the opportunity to discover how a cross-section of the community perceive Council's performance," he said.
A similar survey was conducted in 2017, in which three quarters of respondents rated council's performance as good.
The survey, to be conducted by Market Facts, would involve calling about 400 residents, selected at random from across the shire.
Executive Services Director Debra Iezzi said reviewing council's operations and service delivery remained good business practice.
"This council has a strong focus on meeting the community's expectations and so the opinions of local residents are important, "she said.
The survey covers a range of services, including waste collection, road maintenance, operation of facilities, planning, environmental protection and our parks and playgrounds.
Ms Iezzi encouraged anyone who is contacted over the next two weeks to take the time to answers the questions.
