The Bombala Show made its much-anticipated return over the weekend and Snowy Monaro Regional Council were there to engage with the community.

Staff from waste education and biosecurity and weed control were all on-hand to answer questions from the public and help people to access all the services and opportunities Council has available to the community.

"With so many public events cancelled over the last year, it was a great privilege for Council staff to get out and get involved in the community again," said Mayor Peter Beer, Snowy Monaro Regional Council.

"Our staff had a great number of productive conversations with community members from across the Snowy Monaro region."

Community members stopping by learned more about waste management and what can and can't go into each bin, as well as how to identify and control priority weeds in our region.

Council's Chief Executive Officer Peter Bascomb and local Councillor Bob Stewart were both in attendance on the day.

"It was heartening to see the Bombala community rallying after the difficulties of COVID and the Black Summer bushfires - braving the wind and rain to get out enjoy another wonderful country show," said Mayor Beer.
