Countdown to Pet Expo

Not long to go now before the biggest event on the Bayside pet calendar! Bayside Pet Expo is back in 2019 on 17 November from 10am until 2pm with an exciting line up of activities and events for you and your whole family! This event will feature dog jump shows, dog trick shows, demonstrations, discounted pet registrations, free interactive activities, food trucks, live music all day and celebrity MC and judge, Channel TEN's co-host of Pooches at Play. Bayside Pet Expo, presented by Bayside City Council, will be proudly supporting the PETstock Assist program as well as local charities.

The event aims to bring the local community together and celebrate all that is great about being a pet owner, as well as educating the community on responsible pet ownership and the wellbeing of our pets. Pet owners from Sandringham and surrounding suburbs in the Bayside region are encouraged to bring their 'best friends' along to meet other pet lovers in the area, get involved and active with the free activities and enjoy a fun day out.

Pooches at Play co-host and Cheeky Paws MC Lara Shannon has been a regular on Australian TV and radio stations and is involved in campaigns with a strong focus on conservation and animal welfare issues. "The Bayside Pet Expo provides pet owners with the opportunity to not only spend some time out and about having fun with their pets, but with animal experts and trainers on hand to answer attendee's questions. It can be a great way to learn how to address behaviour issues and socialise your pets as well," says Lara. "I love being at these events and being able to speak with owners about any behaviour or training challenges they may be having, for the benefit of both the dog and owner."

Bayside City Council will be offering discounted pet registration for cats and dogs under six months of age as well as giving out responsible pet ownership bags on the day filled with goodies for your pets.
