Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers, partner agencies, and community members have been recognised at the 2025 QPS Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Awards in Brisbane on Tuesday 25 November.
The awards identify and acknowledge the many achievements of those who have assisted in the prevention of domestic and family violence in Queensland.
Sergeant Lisa Hillary was presented the Commissioner's Outstanding Award as well as the Domestic and Family Violence Coordinator Award for her work across the state, including the Mt Isa, Logan, and Ipswich Districts.
Assistant Commissioner Katherine Innes said the award recipients have shown extraordinary care, courage, and commitment in supporting victim-survivors and leading change from within and beyond the service.

"Every recipient embodies what it means to care, stand up, and speak out to help end domestic and family violence in our communities," Assistant Commissioner Innes said.
"Every act of support, every conversation, and every moment of compassion helps make a difference and create safer homes for all Queenslanders."
Domestic and family violence is a complex issue, requiring specialised and tailored responses that adopt a victim-centric, trauma-informed approach.
Sergeant Hillary consistently demonstrates a level of commitment that far exceeds the expectations of her role, with an unwavering dedication to ensuring victims of domestic and family violence receive exceptional care, protection, and support.
"Together with our communities we remain committed to learning, improving, and strengthening our collective approach to preventing domestic and family violence and supporting victim-survivors," Assistant Commissioner Innes said.
