COVID-19 update - 23 April 2020

For the second day running, the Department of Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight.

Western Australia's total number of confirmed cases remains at 546.

Of those, 458 have now recovered leaving WA with 81 known active cases – eight of those are in the regions where 52 people have recovered.

There are currently 24 confirmed COVID-19 patients in Perth metropolitan hospitals, five of whom are in ICU.

To date 31,604 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in Western Australia. Of those, 5,524 people have returned negative tests in regional WA.
