Crash At Norton Summit

Three young men were taken to hospital after a crash at Norton Summit last night.

Emergency services were called to Colonial Drive, Norton Summit just before 10.30pm on Wednesday 5 August by reports of a single-vehicle crash.

A Toyota sedan lost control, went down an embankment, crashed into a tree and rolled in the wet conditions.

The driver, a 25-year-old Richmond man, and his two passengers, an 18-year-old Basket Range man and a 17-year-old Norton Summit boy, were all taken to hospital by ambulance.

The youngest passenger was the most seriously injured and underwent surgery overnight. Thankfully, his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
