Creating Jobs: Putting the Territory on the Map at Indonesia's Largest Trade Expo

Assistant Minister for Small Business, Multicultural Affairs and the Arafura Games, Kate Worden MLA, will tonight travel to Jakarta, Indonesia, to lead a delegation including more than 30 Territory businesses to the Trade Expo Indonesia.

Team NT, the Australia Indonesia Business Council and the Chamber of Commerce NT will join forces to highlight the diverse commercial opportunities available in the Territory, creating and strengthening connections with Indonesia and other Asian countries to grow our industries and create jobs for Territorians.

Trade Expo Indonesia in its 33rd year - attracts thousands of visitors from around 100 countries, so Territory representatives will benefit from access to a huge audience.

While in Jakarta Ms Worden will also attend several meetings, including with the Indonesian Minister for Trade, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and the Chairman of the Indonesian Investment Board (BKPM).

The Territory Labor Government is creating jobs for Territorians, and having a strong team represent the Territory at the Trade Expo Indonesia will help maximise exposure and opportunities for Territory businesses.

Strengthening relationships and business ties with Indonesia, one of our largest trading partners, and other Asian countries, is essential to improving access for Territory businesses to the vast markets to our north.

The Territory has much to offer when it comes to investment and exports, and attending this expo will help local businesses share our very best.
