The Allan Labor Government is getting on with one of the largest road projects included in this year's $976 million Better Roads Blitz maintenance program.
Minister for Roads and Road Safety Melissa Horne today announced rehabilitation works have started on approximately 3 kilometres of Hamilton Highway in Berrybank between Foxhow Road and Doyles Road.
In order to repair and strengthen the road, the project will completely rebuild the road - delivering smoother journeys and ensuring the road will last for years to come.
Further works are scheduled for the Moyne Shire, with a two separate rehabilitation projects along the Princes Highway West at Port Fairy and Panmure.
This year's road maintenance program is targeting high-traffic areas and busy freight routes, including some of the most important roads connecting communities in the southwest.
More works will start along the Hamilton Highway soon, with a major rehabilitation more than 3.5 kilometres of the Hamilton Highway at Darlington.
Backed by a record $976 million investment from the Labor Government, crews are hard at work delivering hundreds ofmajor maintenance projects on Victoria's roads across the state.
