Camden's creative community is set to come together for an exciting art program, inspiring connection, collaboration and creativity as part of Camden's Creative Collab program.

The first collaboration will take place on Thursday 2 April, 6-8pm, at Camden Civic Centre, Undercroft, Room 2, Oxley Street, Camden, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Creative Collab is a dynamic initiative designed to support local creatives, makers and storytellers by providing opportunities to connect, share ideas and grow their practice through workshops, networking and collaborative experiences.

The upcoming session on Thursday 2 April will offer attendees a unique opportunity to learn more about Camden's recently endorsed Public Art Strategy, which will help shape the region's cultural future.

The highlight of the evening will be a hands-on collaborative public art experience led by Dharawal artist Michael Fardon. Participants will work together to create a collective artwork that will be proudly displayed within the Civic Centre Cultural Hub, leaving a lasting legacy of community creativity.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said Creative Collab played an important role in strengthening the local creative sector and fostering a sense of community.

"Creative Collab is about bringing creatives together to share ideas, build connections and celebrate the incredible creative talent we have here in Camden," she said.

"This program provides a welcoming space for both emerging and established creatives to learn from one another and be part of shaping Camden's cultural identity."

Whether you're an emerging artist, an established creative or simply someone with an interest in the arts, Creative Collab offers a supportive and inclusive environment to explore creativity and be inspired.
