A driver had a lucky escape after crashing into a creek at Montacute last night.
About 8.45pm on Monday 17 August, police and emergency crews were called to Montacute Road, Montacute by reports a Mercedes Benz had left the road and crashed into the creek.
The car had apparently come around a bend, encountered a kangaroo on the road, braked and skidded off the wet road into the creek.
The driver, a 21-year-old Athelstone man, was not injured in the collision.
Police have roped off the car, and a tow truck will be organised to retrieve the car this morning.
