Council crews have been clearing debris from parks, carparks and footpaths impacted by heavy rain and strong winds. Drainage systems have been cleared, and damaged infrastructure is being assessed and repaired.

Work is ongoing across affected areas, with further clean-up and repairs scheduled as conditions allow.

Some areas remain closed or under assessment. Temporary fencing and signage are in place to protect public safety while works continue.

Cairns Regional Council thanks the community for its patience and asks people to stay clear of work zones, heavy machinery and fenced areas.

The community can report issues such as debris, damage or blocked drains using the My Cairns app, available on Apple and Android devices.
