Criminal damage causes chaos on Canterbury

Police have arrested a man after a series of offences in Bayswater on 23 January, Victoria Police say.

Investigators were told the man was walking along Canterbury Road at about 10.10pm when he allegedly threw several items into the westbound lanes in front of oncoming vehicles.

Police believe several collisions occurred as motorists attempted to evade the items.

The man was arrested by police after he walked to a nearby church where he allegedly smashed several windows.

The 46-year-old man has been charged with twenty offences including reckless conduct endanger life, reckless conduct endanger serious injury, criminal damage, discharge missile and commit indictable offences whilst on bail.

He has been remanded to appear at Ringwood Magistrates Court on 26 February.
