Criminal Groups Squad charge man with outstanding warrant 30 July

Criminal Groups Squad detectives have charged a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Following a public appeal for information, a 41-year-old man was arrested outside a unit complex at Carlingford about 11am today (Friday 30 July 2021).

During the arrest, the man allegedly punched a male detective senior constable in the face.

The man was taken to Ryde Police Station and charged with deal with property proceeds of crime, possess/attempt to prescribed restricted substance assault, enter prescribed premises of any person without lawful excuse, and assault police officer in execution of duty.

He was also charged with the revocation of parole warrant.

The man was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Saturday 31 July 2021).
