Cross border issues for students and school staff

At today's Education Council, the Australian Government advocated for consideration to be given to boarding school students who have to cross a state or territory border to get home for the holidays as well as students who cross a border to attend school.

We asked that the Education Council Chair, on behalf of Education Council, urgently seek the advice of the Australian Health Protection and Principal Committee (AHPPC) as to the health risk associated with student travel to and from school within a border bubble and between boarding school and home.

We are now waiting for the states and territories to respond.
