Ringwood police responded to reports of a car being driven erratically, narrowly missing a tree, in Croydon Hills just after 5pm tonight.
Police located the vehicle, the female driver failing a preliminary breath test.
The woman had three passengers, two 4-year-old's and one 6-year-old.
She was taken back to Ringwood Police Station where it is alleged she returned a breath test reading of 0.196.
The 31-year-old Croydon Hills woman had her driver's licence suspended immediately and is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving offences.
