Curlewis Street car park to return to paid entry

Swan Hill Rural City Council will conclude the free parking in the Curlewis Street car park on Sunday, 4 April.

Director of Development and Planning, Heather Green said the initiative was part of a package developed by Council to encourage people to come to the Swan Hill CBD and support local retailers and hospitality businesses, following COVID-19 lockdowns.

"It's been wonderful to see more people shopping and dining out locally and taking advantage of the free car park.

"The free car park was been well received by locals and visitors alike," she added.

Ms Green said the car park would return to paid entry from Monday, 5 April.

"Now that our hospitality sector is beginning to bounce back after numerous lockdowns, the privately owned Curlewis/McCallum Street car park will return to being paid entry from Monday, 5 April," Ms Green said.
