Current Grant Opportunity - Pacific Virtual Museum Pilot Program

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is conducting a competitive aid grants process to select a partner to implement the Pacific Virtual Museum Pilot Program. Applicants are invited to apply using the attached document Invitation to Submit an Activity Proposal. The Program will build upon the concept outlined in the attached Pacific Virtual Museum Pilot Program Concept Note.

Submissions are due by 14 May 2019.

The Pacific Virtual Museum concept aims to provide a single access web-based portal to digitised Pacific cultural heritage items held across museum, gallery and library collections around the world. This 2.5-year pilot will test the viability of a larger project through focusing on Pacific historical photographs.

This tool will serve as a major cultural resource for Pacific island countries. It will provide a way for communities to connect and contribute to records of traditional knowledge, an academic and research resource, and an educational resource. The pilot will include a significant element of outreach to stakeholders in the Pacific.

To apply, please follow the instructions in the Invitation to Submit an Activity Proposal and carefully read the attached Concept Note. A draft of DFAT's standard Simple Grant Agreement is also attached.
