Cybercrime Squad Charges Man for Stalking, Harassment

Cybercrime Squad detectives have charged an Earlwood man for allegedly harassing a number of his former female colleagues.

In February 2026, State Crime Command's Cybercrime Squad commenced an investigation into a series of threatening and offensive emails sent to a group of women employed at the one company.

Police will allege the message were graphic and confronting in nature, with some encouraging the recipients to commit suicide.

Following extensive inquiries, about 8.50am yesterday (Monday 16 March 2026), detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Earlwood.

At the address, police seized a number of electronics.

A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Burwood Police Station, where he was charged with 17 counts of use carriage service to menace/harass/offend, use carriage service w/intent for another to commit suicide, publish etc false misleading material to obtain advantage and destroy or damage property <=$2000.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear in Burwood Local Court on Tuesday 24 March 2026.

It will further be alleged the man provided his victim's contact details to a number of funeral companies, who in turn contacted the women to make arrangements for their funeral services.
