Cyclist critical after crash at Sutherland

An investigation is underway after a cyclist struck a parked vehicle in Sydney's south today.

Just after 7.45am (Tuesday 22 September 2020), emergency services were called to Rawson Avenue, Sutherland, after reports a cyclist had been seriously injured.

Police have been told the cyclist was riding along Rawson Avenue, before he crashed into the rear of a parked utility.

A 46-year-old man was treated at the scene, before being taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
