A male cyclist has died after being struck by a bus in the state's New England region last week.
About 7.30am Monday 3 August 2026, emergency services were called to Old Gostwyck Road, Dangarsleigh, approximately 10km south of Armidale, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to New England Police District attended and located a cyclist who had been struck by a bus.
The 70-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being flown to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
An investigation into the crash commenced.
Yesterday evening (Sunday 9 August 2026) police were notified the man passed away in hospital.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
