The Department of Education and Training is working with the Power and Water Corporation and services providers to ensure all government schools are open tomorrow Monday 24 November.
The safety of our staff and students is our highest priority. Schools that do not have power or there is significant damage, will not open until these issues are rectified.
Of the 153 government schools in the Northern Territory, 66 government schools were impacted by Cyclone Fina. 48 government schools will be open on Monday 24 November 2025. 18 schools will be closed tomorrow as they are still undergoing electrical, water supply or structural repairs due to damage sustained during Cyclone Fina. The schools that will be closed on Monday 24 November are:

Repairs to these schools are being prioritised with an aim to have these schools back online as soon as possible.
Schools will be in direct contact with families to confirm their operations tomorrow. Parents and carers are also encouraged to keep monitoring the department's official social media channels for the latest updates.
