Artist Deane Featonby will host his debut exhibition in Logan Art Gallery from July 30 to September 4.

Vibrant acrylic and aerosol-based paintings created by artist Deane Featonby will go on display at Logan Art Gallery later this month.

Deane drew inspiration for his Down the road exhibition from his daily walks around Slacks Creek.

It will be one of three exhibitions at the gallery from 5pm on Friday, July 30 until Saturday, September 4.

The gallery will also host the biennial 10th Stencil Art Prize exhibition on tour from Sydney.

Curated by Stencil Art Prize Director Jacinta Fintan, the exhibition showcases artists from throughout the world who use painting and cut stencil layers in their works.

John Paul College students will present the final exhibition Art as code.

The students used techniques such as block printing and sculpture to produce artworks highlighting their individual cultural identities.

Logan Art Gallery is on the corner of Jacaranda Ave and Wembley Road, Logan Central.

It is open from 10am to 5pm between Tuesday and Saturday. Entry is free.
