Survey teams from Northern Territory Police and Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Services have begun their initial impact assessments at Daly River as the flood continues to recede.
The Daly River peaked at 14.26 metres on Tuesday and has been in a slow recession since, dropping below the major flood level late on Friday afternoon.
"We have had survey and assessment teams in the community ready to get out there and begin assessments as soon as it was safe to do so," Incident Controller, Superintendent Gavin Kennedy said.
"We have been undertaking drone surveillance throughout the flood, so we had a good idea of where the water was impacting the community.
"I'm really pleased to say that it looks like the vast majority of structures have not been damaged."
To date, 111 properties have been assessed. 102 have no visible damage, 9 have had water come inside and require further investigation. A handful of houses remain inaccessible but will be assessed as soon as possible.
"This minimal damage is great news for the community, as it brings us a step closer to recovery and a step closer to bringing people home," Supt Kennedy said.
At 3pm the Daly River was 13.86 metres at the Daly River Police Station. It is expected to remain at the moderate flood level until mid-week.
