Damage to Primary School, WA

At approximately 3:15am this morning tomorrow, police responded to an alarm at a primary school in Currambine.

North West Metropolitan Response officers attended the school on Ambassador Drive where they located a tyre in the sandpit area on fire. Officers extinguished the fire before searching the school, WA Police say.

In one classroom all the draws had been rummaged through and paint had been thrown over most of the walls, floor, toilets and an inside fridge.

The paint is believed to have been stolen from a shed on the school grounds.

Wires to electrical items (e.g. TV) had been cut and chair coverings had been slashed. The toilets had been filled with classroom items including pictures and left running.

Paint has also been thrown over the outside play area.

Two boys aged 14 and 15 years are assisting police with their inquiries into the extensive damage to the school.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
