Police have seized a Ford Ranger and charged a 17-year-old boy following alleged dangerous and drink driving offences in Ipswich CBD last month.
It will be alleged the driver was observed doing a series of skids on Brisbane Road around 6.30pm on 2 August.
The teenager is also alleged to have driven through a red light before engaging in a verbal altercation with an unknown man.
Police located the teenage boy at a Woodend address.
It is alleged he recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.134%.
He was issued with a notice to appear and a vehicle production notice to surrender his vehicle for impoundment, however it is alleged the vehicle was not provided to police.
Following further investigations police discovered the vehicle hidden at a Bundamba business on 1 September.
A 17-year-old Woodend boy has been charged with three counts of wilfully making unnecessary noise or smoke and one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, drive without due care and attention and middle range drink driving.
He has been bailed to reappear in the Ipswich Childrens Court on 29 September.
Police are appealing for anyone that may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact police.
