Dangerous driving investigation, North Brisbane

Detectives are seeking witnesses to a car driving dangerously through North Brisbane yesterday.

Police received several reports of a grey Mitsubishi Outlander allegedly driving dangerously and at speed along the Gateway Motorway between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

The car was located by officers in the carpark of a fast-food restaurant on Sandgate Road just after 3.45pm.

A 22-year-old woman was taken into custody after attempting to drive away from police.

The Petrie woman was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended licence and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She was also charged with several drug related offences.

She was denied police bail and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Anyone who witnessed the car, or has relevant dash cam footage, is encouraged to contact police. The car was bearing Queensland registration 262 BH3 and is believed to have been driving around Boondall and surrounding areas between 2pm and 4pm.
