Officers from the Logan Tactical Crime Squad have charged a man with dangerous drugs and firearm offences at Springwood on 6 May.
Around 9.50am, officers from the Logan District Tactical Crime Squad Drug and Firearm Team executed a search warrant as part of ongoing investigations into the alleged possession and supply of dangerous drugs and unlawful firearms offences.
During a search of the property, officers allegedly located a loaded 3D-printed handgun in a bedroom containing .22 calibre ammunition.
Police also allegedly located 97 grams of methylamphetamine, cannabis, GHB/GBL, anabolic steroids, prescription medications including oxycodone, clonazepam and buprenorphine strips, along with drug utensils and items consistent with the packaging and supply of dangerous drugs.
Approximately $41,000 in cash was also allegedly located throughout the residence, alongside several mobile phones.
A 31-year-old Springwood man has been charged with five counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of possessing anything for use in the commission of crime defined in Part 2, and one count each of unlawful possession of weapons Category D/H/R weapon, possessing dangerous drugs Schedule 1 drug quantity of or exceeding Schedule 3 but less than Schedule 4, possessing relevant substances or things, possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of an offence under the Drugs Misuse Act, possess utensils or pipes etc for use, and authority required to possess explosives.
He is due to reappear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 8 July.
Investigations remain ongoing.
