A man has been charged with multiple offences following an incident in Beachmere early this morning, June 14.
Emergency services were called to a carpark on Saint Smith Road just before 1am, following reports a 29-year-old man was intentionally driving a black Nissan X-Trail at pedestrians.
A 45-year-old male pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body after he was struck by the Nissan, and was transported to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition.
The vehicle is then alleged to have left the scene but was tracked by police to Old Beachmere Road where a 29-year-old Caboolture man was taken into custody.
He has been charged with one count each of assaults occasioning bodily harm, assaults occasioning bodily harm whilst armed, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, dangerous operation of a vehicle and did drive under the influence of liquor (motor vehicle).
The man is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday, June 16.
No other physical injuries were reported.
Investigations remain ongoing.
