Dangerous operation of a vehicle at Redcliffe

Police are investigating the dangerous operation and unlawful use of a motor vehicle in Morayfield and Redcliffe overnight.

Around 11.30pm, Polair 2 located a vehicle travelling at speed on Dohles Rocks Road and tracked the car to a petrol station on the Bruce Highway.

Police deployed tyre deflation devices twice which successfully punctured the tyres, but the driver continued on.

Police began a pursuit at Deception Bay Road and intercepted the car at MacDonnell Road, Margate.

Five occupants, aged 17, 16, 14, 13 and 12, fled the vehicle but were quickly located and taken into custody.

A 17-year-old girl was charged with dangerous operation a motor vehicle and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
