Dangerous operation of vehicle, Ashmore

A man has been charged following the dangerous operation of a vehicle through the Gold Coast yesterday afternoon (August 23).

At 3.45pm, Polair observed a stolen white Toyota Camry in Biggera Waters travelling in an erratic and dangerous manner.

Police will allege the car was cutting off other vehicles, hit a stationary car on Olsen Avenue and ran a red light before entering an underground carpark on Cotlew Street in Ashmore.

He has then left the vehicle on foot and was subsequently arrested by police at 4.05pm.

The 32-year-old Robina man has been charged with 10 offences relating to today's incident and multiple incidents from earlier this month.

He has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving without a licence, possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of entering a premises to commit an indictable offence and three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.

Police will also allege the car was stolen from a Helensvale address on August 20.
