Dareton Community Health Day: Promoting Healthy & Independent Aging

Wentworth Shire Council, in partnership with the Dareton Men in the Shed, is inviting residents to the Dareton Community Health Day this April. This free event is dedicated to the health, wellbeing, and independence of older adults within our region.
Whether you are a senior, a carer, or a family member, this day offers a vital opportunity to connect with local services, receive expert advice, and enjoy a social day out with the community.

The event features a comprehensive range of services designed to support quality of life and safety at home. Participants will have access to:
- Free Health & Wellness Checks: Hearing tests and advice, podiatry services, eye health information, and diabetes/sugar testing.
- Expert Advice & Support: Guidance on Aged Care Services, financial assistance (pensions and health cards), and residential service options.
- Safety & Independence: Demonstrations of home and garden aids, smart home safety, and road safety support specifically for senior drivers.
- Community Connection: Information on Wentworth Library resources, Meals on Wheels, and social support projects through the Men's Shed.
