At approximately 1:30pm today (24 September 2020) police were called regarding two people on a kayak that appeared to be in distress off Dawesville.
The caller reported that around 1:10pm two people were on a yellow or orange kayak with a white paddle approximately 1 nautical mile off Falcon Bay.
A search is currently underway while police try to establish if the people managed to return to shore.
Police are requesting that anyone who saw the kayak, or has information about the people returning to shore, call police immediately on 131 444.
