NSW Police and event organisers have reached an agreement for an alternative route that will not block the Sydney Harbour Bridge ahead of this weekend's public assembly.
The NSW Police Force and organisers of a public assembly proposed for next Saturday (13 September 2025), have reached an agreement for an alternate route.
The original Form 1 applied to walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge; however, following ongoing negotiations between senior officers and organisers, the route will now start in Hyde Park and progress through Sydney's CBD.
As a result of these negotiations police have formally withdrawn their filing to the Supreme Court.
Police would like to thank the event organiser for their cooperation during this process.
The NSW Police Force recognises and supports the rights of individuals and groups to exercise their rights of free speech and peaceful assembly; police are now working to ensure the safety of the wider community managing this upcoming event.
