Death of a patient from the Regional Psychiatric Centre

December 24, 2018 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Correctional Service Canada

On December 21, 2018, Richard Wooldridge, a patient from the Regional Psychiatric Centre, died while in our custody.

At the time of his death, Mr. Wooldridge, 59 years old, had been serving a sentence of two years that began on March 26, 2018 for Trafficking in Schedule I/II Substances, Possession of Schedule I Substance, and Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking/Recognizance.

The patient's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the coroner be notified.
