Death of an inmate from Atlantic Institution

On August 16, 2019, Bradley Oliver, an inmate from Atlantic Institution died while in our custody.

At the time of his death, Mr. Oliver, 32 years old, had been serving a sentence of 14 years, 7 months and 24 days for Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Aggravated Assault (x2) since December 23, 2014.

The inmate's family has been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
