Deceptive duo duped by camera

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a man and woman following a string of deceptions across Melbourne's north-west on 13 April.

It is understood the man and woman used stolen credit card details to make various purchases with their mobile phones at six separate retail stores across the Hume, Moonee Valley, Brimbank and Moreland municipalities.

Police have released images and CCTV footage of a pair who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived as Caucasian in appearance and about 50 years old with a medium build and short dark hair.

He was wearing a gold necklace, blue zip-up jacket, grey T-shirt, blue jeans, grey runners and a Geelong Football Club cap.

The woman, also perceived as Caucasian in appearance and about 50 years of age, is described as having a medium build and straight dyed blonde hair.

She has a tattoo of a star on the inside of her right wrist and a number of small tattoos on her left arm.

The woman was wearing several gold necklaces and bracelets, a black leopard-print dress and black tights.

Anyone who recognises the pair or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
