Delays to household waste collection

Unfortunately, there are currently delays in waste collection due to staff shortages.

We sincerely apologise to affected residents and appreciate that this is frustrating.

As of Monday 13 February, collection of household rubbish is up-to-date. Our crews are catching up on collecting recycling and food and organics waste in Fawkner and a small part of Glenroy.

If you live outside these areas and your bin collection has been missed, please let us know by filling out this form on our eServices website or calling us on 9240 1111.

Our team members are working really hard to reduce the delays as much as they can.

Please leave your bin out and we will collect it as soon as possible.

There is a nation-wide shortage of waste truck drivers and we are doing everything we can to recruit 3 new staff members to meet our usual service delivery. In the meantime, our crews are working extra hours and on Saturdays to catch up.

We appreciate your patience during this time, and we assure you that we are working to get the service to regular programming.
