Delivering An Expanded Clubhouse For Carrum

Lifesavers in Carrum will get the facilities they need to keep the community safe with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to expand their life saving clubhouse.

Only Labor will make sure our lifesavers have the modern facilities they need, with $1.5 million to go towards the expansion of the existing clubhouse, which is currently built to the original dimensions from the 1950s.

The clubhouse is no longer appropriate for a growing club that should be able to provide safety to the Carrum community.

This project will give faster access to the beach for life savers from the observation tower, increase community amenity and facilities and provide the club with enough on-site storage space for the first time.

There’s more to do and only Labor will deliver the things that matter to Carrum, including the modern facilities our emergency services lifesavers need to keep the community safe.

As stated by Minister for Emergency Services James Merlino

"Our lifesavers protect the Carrum community, and only Labor will make sure they have the facilities and equipment they need to keep themselves and the community safe."

As stated by the Member for Carrum Sonya Kilkenny

"Whether it’s better schools, hospitals or facilities for our lifesavers only Labor will deliver the things that matter to people in our community."
