Delivering our plan to secure Tasmania's future

Peter Gutwein,Premier

The Tasmanian Liberal Government looks forward to a busy productive year in Parliament, with the official opening of the 50th Parliament on June 22.

Drafting is underway for legislation announced during the election, including land tax threshold changes, stamp duty concessions and boosting the First Home Owner Grant.

Work on the 2021-22 State Budget has commenced and the Government has provided the Department of Treasury and Finance with a complete list of our 2021 election commitments, which will be included in the Budget.

I will deliver the Budget on August 26, with Budget Estimates to be held during the week commencing September 6, 2021.

While we will have a packed legislative agenda ahead of us, we are wasting no time in getting on with the job of delivering our plan to secure Tasmania's future.

Tasmanians voted for stability and certainty at a time our state needs it the most, and we are hitting the ground running with our initial focus on our first 100 days.
